Post Diploma Course in Thermal Power Plant Technology/Post Diploma Course in Renewable Energy
JIPT offers a one-year post diploma course in Thermal Power Plant Technology/Renewable Energy. This program aims to create a pool of technically trained professionals for the power sector. It covers:
- Thermal power engineering:The curriculum follows the syllabus of the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) and provides a strong foundation in thermal power plant operation and maintenance.
- Renewable energy engineering:The curriculum follows the guidelines of leading energy authorities and provides a strong foundation in the operation and maintenance of renewable energy systems such as solar, wind, and biomass.
- Exposure to other energy sources:The program also includes modules on other sources of energy like solar, wind, and biomass, giving students a broader understanding of the power and energy sector.
- Statutory authorization:Successful completion of the course allows graduates to work in thermal power plants exceeding 100 MW capacity.

Duration: One academic year (52 weeks) divided into two semesters
Eligibility:
For PDC Course- The minimum qualifications for the admissions to the Course of Post Diploma in Thermal Power Technology (or) Renewable Energy Shall be a Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with First Class in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics/ Control & instrumentation.
Selection Criteria:
The selection criteria for admission to the course is based on academic marks scored in the Past and a merit list will be prepared as follows.
